SKI POLE BUILDER with other responsibilities in marketing, events, customer service, and small business management possible!
Grass Sticks is hiring! While we are seeking qualified individuals to help with marketing, customer service, events, and other aspects of our small (mostly e-commerce) business, much of your time will be spent making ski poles.

37-40hrs/week, full-time, year-round. Temporary production work could be available. Steamboat Springs, CO.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $20-$27/hour starting pay based on previous experience and skills. Raises possible after 40hrs based on performance.

  • Start immediately or by August 1 at the latest

Production (ski pole building) duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sanding, cutting, and processing bamboo

  • Operation of power tools and saws

  • Lifting and moving piles of bamboo

  • Applying a clear coat to the finished product

  • Building customer and wholesale ski pole orders

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, you will be part of the customer service and events teams. Higher starting pay, special projects, and responsibilities will also be given based on previous experience and abilities. Examples of helpful skills are, but not limited to:

  • Marketing (digital advertising, partnerships, social media, email, etc)

  • e-commerce

  • Excel

  • Quickbooks and Accounting

  • Sales and events

  • Photo and Video

  • Web-based customer service

Required Qualifications:

  • Lift heavy bundles (50lbs)

  • Work 8-hour days in the sun and variable weather

  • Have your own transportation to and from the west end of Steamboat Springs

  • Working with your hands, making and building things, general labor and ski industry experience are a plus

  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic with attention to detail.
